"It might seem like it's too late to those around me. In fact, when I got home and told my wife about this, she was like, "What? You just realized that now?" (I think my wife could have said it a little more gently, which is fine.) (This is completely unrelated, but I'm a woman and my wife is a woman, for the record.)"
